新年快乐 (xi nian kuai le – happy new year) and 恭喜发财 (gong xi fa cai – congratulations and be prosperous) for the year of the Dragon! We had our New Year’s Eve family dinner of steamboat last night, and it was so warming and delicious!

I haven’t had  a whole lot of time this week for knitting, (still haven’t caught up with Sherlock!) but I’m on my last stripe before the short row heel so hopefully I’ll get these socks finished before the end of the New Year!

Happy New Year! I'm glad you had a lovely family dinner---and wait 'til you catch up with Sherlock, it's faaaabulous. :D

Also fabulous: your knitting. Those colours and stripes are music to my eyes.

Ooh, I still haven't managed to catch up but you're making me want to watch it RIGHT NOW!!
Sun Nin Fai Lok! (Cantonese). Hope the Year of the Dragon brings you all the best of luck, health, happiness and good fortune!

And the same to you also! I don't know much Cantonese, so I'll have to remember that and add it to my repertoire :)
