done, done, done at last!

I finally did it! After finishing my Galileo socks I felt bad that I still hadn’t gotten around to sewing in all those ends for the Boy’s socks, so I grit my teeth, stuck some Lewis on and hunkered down with my tapestry needle. By the end of it I was thoroughly fed up with ends and finishing, but I’m glad it’s all done now. And the Boy is glad that he’s got another pair of socks to keep his toes toasty. Happy campers all around.

Thank you! I was a bit uncertain about the colour combo at first but I'm so happy with how it's turned out :)
Great fit, comfy colours - those are very fine socks!

Thank you! Custom fit, isn't that one of the wonderful things about handknit socks? :)
SOoooooo cute. Wonderful sock finish

Thanks, and thankfully the Boy does too!
I love them! The black has a crayon look to it, like it was colored in! How cool!

It's grey, but it does look quite black in the photos! And you're right, it does look coloured in!
Sewing in ends is a bit like taking medicine isn't it? So worth it in the end! Also live those twisty socks you've got on the go now.

Oh, that is so true! It's a necessary evil, but it does feel fantastic to have completely finished them :)
Awesome! I love the stripes and the way the gray semi-solid shimmers.

Thanks, I love thinking of the grey as shimmering! Nicely put :)
They look great -I always get 2nd sock syndrome

Yeah, thankfully I haven't been struck down with that for a while! I knit 2 at a time sometimes to avoid SSS :)
Well done you! Ends are the pits aren't they! I think they were worth it for the fabulous socks you've created though. I hope the Boy was appropriately grateful...!

He was! He was giving me running updates on the comfort levels of his feet throughout the day. I just thought he was being weird until we got home and he took off his trainers and I realised that it was because he was wearing his socks!
Lily makes me sew in her ends in exchange for sorting out my knitting traumas! :D

Fab socks btw!

Hehe, sounds like a good trade!
Yay, I think that is the worst thing about knitting your own socks but it must be done and they look fabulous.

A definite necessary evil! Thanks :)
